Prints and Products

After over 15 years photographing all sorts of families, we’ve discovered that a credit, applicable towards both prints and digital files, suits most needs and budgets. Some families would like just a handful of photos to frame in their home, some families prefer a box of prints for their coffee table, and some families would like all of the digital files from their session.

Most of the families I photograph spend $200-300 in excess of their credit. However, the credit already included in your session will get you a handful of favorites. (With a mini session, you receive a $200 credit, with a Play session $250, Half Day session $350, Day in the Life session $500.)

Lots of folks choose to purchase the digital files, and those photos just sit in a folder on a hard drive and eventually get forgotten. Here’s my unsolicited advice after doing this for 20 years: If you don’t think you’ll make prints from the digital files, consider ordering a print for your home instead of the digital file. These photos are printed at a professional photo lab, and they’re so beautiful, very much an heirloom for your family.

I’m sure you have childhood memories of seeing family photos on the walls at your parents’ or grandparents’ homes, and the cool thing is that science actually proves that it’s important! Print your photos for your own memories, and for your kids’ memories too!

If you want to save some money, print at a photo lab yourself, use the photos online, or make Christmas cards, then purchasing digital photos is definitely the best bet.
