Play session

A Play session is 1 hour long.

Play sessions are where we let your kids’ personalities shine - games, costumes, crafts, songs, facepaint, pets, mud pies, hilarious toddlers - we’re down for it all! (Oh, and we’ll take a couple of “nice” photos for grandma’s mantle too! )
Honestly, this is the session you wanted, but didn’t know you truly needed. And although newborns don’t ‘play’ much, this one hour session is a perfect option for wee ones, who are sometimes on their own timeline.

How does it work?
After the session, you will receive a gallery with approximately 50-60 photos. Choose your favorite ones, either digital or prints, apply the coupon code (valued at $250), and check out. Your gallery is typically online for 72 hours, if you need more time, please let Buffy know.

How long does my order take?
Digital photos are typically delivered to your inbox within an hour, and you will receive prints by mail. They are typically shipped within 3-5 business days of your order. The printers get very busy near Christmas, so please plan ahead and place Christmas orders by the first week of December.

Why do your prints cost more than others?
I print your photos at a fine art printing studio in the US, where the best professionals and art galleries and museums send their work. If you put your fine art print side by side with a print you made at Costco or Walmart, the difference will astound you. If you consider your photos artwork, something you want to have on your walls for many years to come, it’s more than worth it.
If you want to make inexpensive prints to give to friends, include in Christmas cards, etc, your best bet is to purchase a digital file, that way you can print many copies yourself.

How much do people typically spend above and beyond their session fee/ included credit?
Many families are happy with the handful of digital files they can purchase with their credit. On average, families will spend an extra $100-200 on a few extra photos, or will use their entire credit to get a print or canvas of their favorite photo.

 Prints and Products

After over 15 years photographing all sorts of families, we’ve discovered that a credit, applicable towards both prints and digital files, suits most needs and budgets. Some families would like a handful of photos to frame in their home, some families prefer a box of prints for their coffee table, and some families would like reproduction rights to all of the digital files from a session.

(2022 families - With a mini session, you receive a $200 credit, with a Play session $250, Half Day session $350, Day in the Life session $500.)
